Top Tips – FAQs – No Nos

Guest Speaker: Camille St-Omer Donaldson

Camille is the B.A.M.E diversity network co-chair and Supporter Experience Project Lead at British Red Cross as well as Organiser, Charity So White

She is a dynamic fundraiser and began her career as a passionate telephone fundraiser and dialogue fundraising trainer, before joining the British Red Cross working within fundraising quality control & compliance. She now uses supporter insight to create experiences that bring our supporters closer to the causes the care about, as part of her role within the Red Cross Supporter Experience team.

When she isn’t working to deliver the ultimate supporter experience, she’s busy amplifying B.A.M.E voices, creating safe and brave spaces for people of colour across the sector. She does this through her roles as B.A.M.E Co-chair for the diversity network at Red Cross and as part of the Charity So White organising committee.

More recently she has taken up the role of the Beyond Suffrage Charity Trustee Programme Chair, helping to elevate young B.A.M.E women to leadership, diversify boards and empower the future change makers. She’s a keen public speaker & Beyoncé is her inspiration. When not geeking out over supporters or Beyoncé, she spends her spare time completing Buzzfeed quizzes like ‘what type of bread are you?’

This is FREE to individuals from small and BAMER (black, Asian, multi-ethnic and refugee) organisations and run in collaboration with Money4YOU, Race on the Agenda (ROTA) and Black Fundraisers UK (BF-UK).

We know that you are facing numerous unique challenges; often it takes many years to gain momentum and build capacity in spite of the great need that you are meeting.
