Join us this month (10 am-2 pm) to learn about Volunteering and Events.

The most important asset in community fundraising is the community – your supporters, volunteers and their families, friends and neighbours. Engaging this audience is therefore just as important as putting in place any technical-know-how you may need.

Veronica Martin will offer an introduction to community fundraising for those with little experience of the topic, or who need to consider how community fundraising could play a role in their Sustainable Fundraising Strategy.

At the end of the presentation, she will sign-post you on to more in-depth sources of information if you would like to learn more.

Guest Speaker: Veronica Martin, Aleto Foundation

Veronica Martin serves as the COO of Aleto Foundation, Trustee of the Armitage Foundation and was appointed as the first black female Vice President of Reedham Children’s Trust.

Ms Martin is the craftsperson of the highly acclaimed Aleto Foundation Leadership Programme which was launched in 2011 and now serves close to 1000 BAME young leaders, 100+ senior leaders and UK companies across the country.

Ms Martin is the winner of the 2020 Third Sector Baton Awards, a member of the Worldwide Association of Female Professionals, a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, has a Masters in Charity Marketing and Fundraising and became a GCOlogist in 2020.

This is FREE to those on the AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme and subsidised for everyone from small and BAMER (black, Asian, multi-ethnic and refugee) organisations.

We know that you are facing numerous unique challenges; often it takes many years to gain momentum and build capacity in spite of the great need that you are meeting.

But rest assured you are not alone and we are here to help!
