Description
This presentation will introduce the Fundraising Regulator, the work we do to protect the public and how we support charitable fundraising organisations to meet excellent fundraising standards. In particular, we will discuss the UK-wide Code of Fundraising Practice, and the role it plays in promoting legal, open, honest and respectful fundraising.
Guest Speaker: Oliver Bayer
Oliver joined the Fundraising Regulator in April 2022. In his role as a Policy Officer, Oliver helps to oversee the Code Advice Service, responding to enquiries from fundraisers and the public about compliance with fundraising standards. Prior to this, Oliver worked for other regulators including OFGEM and the Electoral Commission, as well as in fundraising roles at a variety of charitable organisations working in the UK and abroad.
