Guest Speaker: Francesca Humi

Francesca is the fundraising and project development officer for Kanlungan Filipino Consortium, a charity empowering Filipino migrants in the UK.
She previously worked in inclusive education at the London School of Economics and in peacebuilding in the Philippines for the NGO International Alert. Following her MSc in Empires, Colonialism and Globalisation at LSE, she started “fran explains history”, a TikTok and Instagram based project for which she creates 1-minute history-focused videos and shares archival images as a way of democratising history and engaging new audiences on historical topics.
